SOCCER GOALKEEPER’S KIT

In addition to all of the items in the “Soccer Field Player’s Kit,” soccer goalkeepers should have the following equipment in their kit:

Required:

Goalkeeper Jersey (3 different colors)

Goalkeeper Shorts

Goalkeeper Pants

Goalie Gloves (Match Play, Practice/Training, and Field-Condition Specific – rain, artificial turf)

Backup Goalie Gloves (Match Play, Practice/Training, and Field-Condition Specific – rain, artificial turf)

Glove Bag for each pair of Goalie Gloves

Glove tackiness fluid or just a water bottle

Towels (two or more, clean and dry; generally smaller-sized)

Plastic bags for towels

Optional:

Goalie Glove Multi-compartmented large bag

Padded Long-Sleeve Jersey

Padded Shorts

Padded Pants

Track-Suit Bottoms

Goalkeeper-specific Waterproof (rain) Gear

For post-pubescent males, pouch athletic supporter (or core briefs) with protective cup

Soccer Coaching Tips:

Like field players, soccer goalkeepers must be totally SELF SUFFICIENT with their kit. They must not rely on anyone else to provide what they need.
